Product Overview
The Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) Hard Disk Drive Assembly consists of a Twin HD front shell, a SATA hard disk drive, SATA to IDE convertor and screws for mounting. A SATA hard disk drive is an internal hard drive which is the primary storage device located inside a computer system. It usually contains pre-installed software applications, the operating system and other files. Most desktop computers have several internal hard drives, allowing them to provide greater data storage. The capacity of this hard disk is 500GB with 5400 RPM speed, a 6 GB/s SATA interface and 8MB cache buffer. The SATA drive interface is used to connect ATA hard drives to a computer's motherboard. The SATA interface connects each disk drive in a point-to-point configuration with the SATA host adapter. This interface provides easy installation and configuration with true plug-and-play connectivity with thinner and more flexible cabling for higher performance. The HDD is fixed with twin HD front shell by using four stainless steel M3 screws. The hard disk drive is connected to the integrated development environment (IDE)/SATA to IDE dual-way board adapter, which provides super-fast and high-capacity data transfer solution. High quality module board allows super durability, performance, plug and play. It is a dual-way transferring, can convert IDE devices to SATA interface motherboards or vice versa. High speed transmission supports up to 1.5 GHz transmission rate, ensures fast and stable data transmission. It is designed and fully tested to provide digital products with the highest of safety while in transit. With Western Digital (WD)-certified packaging, we can rest assured that WD hard drive will arrive safely, fully protected, in a non-descript, easy-open package. The WD Blue shell storage is tested and recommended for use in notebooks, external enclosures and industrial application.
