Product Overview
The Socket Head Cap Screw is made of stainless steel. Stainless steels are iron-based alloys which contain a minimum of chromium around 10.5%. The presence of chromium offers corrosion resistance for the stainless steel and helps it to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel also maintains the its excellent toughness. By considering all these properties, stainless steel is often chosen to use for socket head cap screws for this particular application. This screw is being used in many anesthesia machines in the medical field such as Aestiva 7900, Aestiva MRI, Aespire View, Avance CS2, ARC Aestiva 7100, ARC ADU and ARC Aespire View among others. The socket head cap screw is a type of cap screw which has a cylindrical head and internal wrenching features like hexagonal drive hole. It is a type of threaded fastener. The cap screw head height is equal to shank diameter. It should not be mated with a regular hexagonal nut, which is not as strong. The diameter of socket head cap screws is 1 (Inch) diameter and under have class A4 fit (tight tolerance). The most important reasons for choosing the socket head cap screws in this industry are safety, reliability and economy. It is often used for applications with a limited amount of space.
